"We strive for perfection but when you're typing that fast, there are occasional mistakes. We regret the error."Have read closed captions on a TV I find it hilarious that something like this happened, but not surprised. The people who do the closed caption on the fly like they do deserve metals for what they are trying to do. I would love to see how they do it sometime.
--ABC's CATHIE LEVINE after a closed caption for an ABC News' Tuesday broadcast said Federal Reserve Chairman ALAN GREENSPAN was hospitalized for "an enlarged prostitute" instead of an enlarged prostate, quoted in The Washington Post.

Parents not doing duty by kid surfers | CNET News.com
In response to the April 22 news story by Declan McCullagh and Alorie Gilbert, "Is Amazon.com no place for kids?":I could not say it better myself.
This is why parents should be with their children if they're going to be surfing around on the Internet. It's a disgusting trend of parents wanting to take zero responsibility for their children and the actions of their children. It's much easier to just turn them loose, then blame the media or the game developers or the Web site companies for their laziness.
Most parents probably don't even take the time to have a 15-minute discussion with their child about "Net etiquette" and what is OK and not OK to post out there. But hey, let's just point fingers.

Wayne Madsen: Bush's "Christian" Blood Cult
George W. Bush proclaims himself a born-again Christian. However, Bush and fellow self-anointed neo-Christians like House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, John Ashcroft, and sports arena Book of Revelations carnival hawker Franklin Graham appear to wallow in a "Christian" blood lust cult when it comes to practicing the teachings of the founder of Christianity. This cultist form of Christianity, with its emphasis on death rather than life, is also worrying the leaders of mainstream Christian religions, particularly the Pope.Like WOW! This page is like a Chic tract gone crazy. Now it appears that the Pope is not the anti-Christ, it is George Bush! I could not believe it at first. But you know, if there is hate from one side, I guess it will be from the other-side as well.
[BirdieSoft - Home] For those of you who are Pokemon fans (like my 4 year old), here is a pair of free programs. One will let you track you cards, the other lets you capture all the pokemon in a game like the Gameboy game but less on the adventure side and more on the capture side. Since I played the gameboy game, I have downloaded this to see that it is like, and will give you an idea of it if it is any good.

Hackers, Madonna mix it up | CNET News.com
The hacker's attack appeared to be in response to Madonna's most recent, typically colorful broadside against file-swappers seeking free copies of her music. The singer has put files that appear to be versions of her new songs onto peer-to-peer networks that actually contain recordings of her saying, "What the f*** do you think you're doing?"I guess they will not learn. You know if a bunch of geeks get together and say they are going to burn their CD's it does not mean the same thing as you think it does. Do I condone the methods of the hackers no, do I condone her methods, nope. But you antagonize a group they will fight back. What she did was the equivalent of starting a war (like in Iraq). And the enemy will fight back. If she did not want the site hacked she should not have fired the first shot.
The hacked page, as sent to CNET News.com by several readers, had a message that read, "This is what the f*** I think I'm doing." It also contained what appeared to be links to the album's songs.
WorldNetDaily: Bill would force hiring of cross-dressers
Enough is enough people. Am I the only one amazed that I could be forced to hire someone that would be a problem in my organization. This is just plain stupid. Because you are transgendered does not assure you have a right to a job any more than being straight does. Why do we give the power to the few? It is one thing to take a forced prayer out of a school, it is another to force your morals on me.
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The Democrat-controlled California Assembly passed a bill today mandating fines of up to $150,000 against business owners – including Bible bookstores and nonprofit organizations such as the Boy Scouts – for refusing to hire cross-dressing and transsexual job applicants.

Wired News: Online, Some Bloggers Never Die
I have wondered what would happen to this blog should I pass on. Now I have an idea what would happen. I guess this would stay as a memorial to me, but like me I am sure that it would soon be forgotten.

Anti-war Protestants -- The Washington Times
Jesus himself once drove the money-changers out of the temple, with a whip. He even urged his apostles to bear arms as they traveled to new, and sometimes unfriendly, parts of the world: "The one who has no sword must sell his cloak and buy one."Words that ring out in a war of words about this war. Let us not hide behind Jesus and say that we should not war because Jesus would not have.
